Shamrock Renewable Fuels (SRFL) is contracting with Agri Biofuel International for the procurement of all biomass feedstock required for the facility. Agri Biofuel International is a premier agri biomass business, and the largest willow grower in Ireland, establishing a growing programme for Short Rotation Coppice (SRC) willow – planting willow on it’s own farm land, for use in the SRFL plant and to demonstrate to farmers and landowners the opportunity offered by SRC willow as an agricultural crop. In addition to buying farmland to establish willow plantations, Agri Biofuel International also leases land from farmers and is establishing willow plantations in the commercial vicinity of the plant.
